Outdoor Learning - Fresh Air Club

All children at Colehill and Hayeswood First Schools now access Fresh Air Club who are our new Outdoor Learning Provider. The sessions will be planned, organised and led by an experienced instructor called Paul, who has worked with Pamphill/Witchampton and has been thoroughly recommended.

Fresh Air Club encourages pupils to re-engage with nature and the outdoors, allowing the children to learn new skills and have fun, gain confidence in themselves and learn about the beauty of nature and all its resources. The skills they learn assist in the development of their social and emotional intelligence and practical skills through play, exploration and supported risk taking.  We want them to be risk-aware and not risk-adverse and this approach to risk means that learners constantly expand on their abilities by solving real-world issues, building self-belief and resilience.  Children are encouraged to embrace the natural environment they are surrounded by in school, their communities and the big wide world.

Fresh Air Club will be based at both our schools for 3 half-terms across the academic year.

Hayeswood have Paul for Autumn 1, on Thursdays. Colehill's first half-term block is Autumn 2, on Thursdays.
